When are baptisms?

Baptisms are every Sunday at 1:45

How do I set up a baptism?

Call the Parish Office at 410-592-7071 and have child's information ready.

Do I need to take a class?

Parents and God-parents are required to take a class on baptism, you can sign up by calling the Parish Office at 410-592-7071. If someone has already taken the class, it must be within a year of the new Baptism.

Do God-parents have to be Catholic?

At least one of the God-parents must be Catholic.

Baptism

It is in Baptism that we enter into a covenantal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and are welcomed into the community of believers. Parents must be members of St. Stephen's Parish. One Godparent must be a confirmed, practicing Catholic. Both must be Christian and at least 16 years old. Parents and Godparents must attend a Baptismal Preparation Session prior to the infant's Baptism. Sessions are held on the first Monday of the month during the evening at 7 p.m. in the Church. Baptisms are celebrated every Sunday at 1:45 pm.
