The Queen of Families Rosary Guild was founded here at St. Stephen’s on October 7, 2010, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. The rosary guild was formed for members of Our Lady’s Rosary Makers catholic lay apostolate in order to work together to serve the need for rosaries in the mission fields of the world. The members make plastic mission bead rosaries in order to supply free rosaries to the missions, hospitals, prisons, the military, schools, parishes and many more.
On the First Saturday of the month, the rosary guild members meet in the Library (Learning Cottage) to pray and make rosaries to spread devotion to the rosary through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Queen of Families Rosary Guild provides rosaries for our church community especially those receiving the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, for both our sister parishes, St. Steven’s, Kenya and St. Benedict’s as well as missions throughout the world.
Please consider joining this ministry in promoting Our Lady’s Rosary for peace and conversion in our world! If you are unable to join the guild at this time, then please consider praying the rosary or making rosaries from home for the needs of the world are many. Saint Padre Pio prayed 15 decades of the rosary everyday and encouraged all to say the rosary. He said, “Love the Madonna and pray the rosary, for the rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world.”
To pray the rosary, spread devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary and devotion to the rosary, "Mary’s Psalter." Through the work of each member’s hands, mission rosaries will be made for our parish community and throughout the world to bring peace and lead souls to eternal life.

About Our Lady’s Rosary Makers - OLRM
Our Lady’s Rosary Makers was founded in 1949 by Xaverian Brother Sylvan Mattingly, C.F.X. on the premise that he would teach people to make rosaries on the presumption they would make and distribute them freely to missionaries. The Mission, set forth by the founder, Brother Sylvan, C.F.X., who envisioned a world in which all God’s children, possessing an instrument of peace and comfort, work to fulfill Our Lady’s requests at Fatima.

OLRM provides support, resources, and materials in the spirit of Br. Sylvan’s mission and vision. They are a member driven, non-profit, Catholic lay apostolate within the Archdiocese of Louisville. Their diverse and active members spread devotion through the Immaculate Heart of Mary by making and sharing the Rosary with the world’s spiritually needy.
OLRM has become Our Lady’s Missionary Network by providing members with information to locate and distribute rosary to needy missions. Sending finished rosaries to the missions is the primary activity of its members.
Members of OLRM have donated tens of millions of rosaries to the missions since 1949 reaching thousands of dedicated Catholics missionaries around the world. Yet each year the call for rosaries becomes greater. In young Catholic communities throughout the world the faithful are in constant need of spiritual help. When a missionary visits a community they provide instant spiritual guidance and comfort to the faithful. Yet, missionaries cannot always be there, and the gift of the rosary stands to fill the faithful with strength and comfort in the face of hardship.
